Description: This event is run though the Boston Virtual Reality Meetup Group. At the April meetup, John Gagan will teach us how to create a landscape in Blender using the A.N.T. Landscape addon and the Sapling Tree Gen addon! Both addons are free and come with Blender. We will create an alien landscape complete with mountains, volcanoes, islands, canyons, rivers and exotic trees! After the demo, we will all work on Blender 3D projects together, share our work, and network.
John Gagan is a six-year veteran in Blender 3D, four of which he spent as the head of the Boston Blender Group.
For those participating who are new to the world of Blender please-
- Bring your laptops and preferably a '3 button mouse'
- Download and install the latest version of Blender: https://www.blender.org/
- NOTE- You do not need to create an XR scene in Unity prior to this tutorial, this will only cover landscape generation in Blender.
