Watertown Public Library, Room: Lucia Mastrangelo Meeting Room

Description:

This event is run though the Boston Virtual Reality Meetup Group. Lights, camera, action! At the November meetup, John Gagan will show us how to model a dune buggy and put it in a scene, and go in depth with lighting and camera techniques. For lighting, we will discuss in depth the settings for the different types of lights. We will also discuss three point lighting, using the Tri-lighting addon, as well as volumetric lighting and material lighting. For cameras, we will discuss the camera settings, camera switching and camera tracking. Finally, we will animate the dune buggy. After the demo, people can collaborate and network.

John Gagan is a seven-year veteran in Blender 3D, four of which he spent as the head of the Boston Blender Group.

Please download and install the Tri-lighting addon at: https://extensions.blender.org/add-ons/tri-lighting/
*John will demonstrate how to install the addon at the meetup, in case you need help.
