Watertown Public Library, Room: Lucia Mastrangelo Meeting Room

Description:
This event is run though the Boston Virtual Reality Meetup Group. Let's animate! At the April meetup, John Gagan will demonstrate some animation principles, such as Squash and Stretch, Anticipation, Follow Through and Exaggeration, using two bouncing ball characters, Bob and Betty. The basics of creating an animation in Blender will be covered, such as setting keyframes in the timeline and rendering the final animation.

After the demo, people can collaborate and network. Light snacks will be served. Please note that we are meeting at 3:30pm this month.

John Gagan is a seven-year veteran in Blender 3D, four of which he spent as the head of the Boston Blender Group.

For those participating who are new to the world of Blender please-

  • Download and install the latest version of Blender: https://www.blender.org/
  • NOTE- You do not need to create an XR scene in Unity prior to this tutorial, this will only cover Blender.
