Details

The plan is to hike through the dunes and walk the shoreline.

Time to meet: 10:00 to 10:15 a.m in the parking lot.

The hike is expected to be 2-3 hours duration, but may be a bit longer or shorter - plan accordingly.

Approximate distance 5 miles.

This hike is rated intermediate, You should be able to stay with the group going at a pace of 2.5 MPH.

Parking: members without permit: $5, nonmembers: $10 (that's per car load).

You can pay at the parking gate or via online for a pass(passes are released at noon every other Thursday for the upcoming 2 weeks).

Those interested in carpool from Hamlin Reservation can do so which is 10 minutes down the road. If so you can contact each other via message or comments below.

Please check the night before for any updates etc.

If you decide to leave the group at any time, you are on your own.
There is no way of knowing trail conditions ahead of time. Use your own judgment. Anyone with recurrent "No Shows" or about whom we have received complaints from fellow hikers will not be accepted. Please don't RSVP "Yes" unless you really intend to come.
Bring water and lunch/snacks. Protect yourself against deer ticks and dress in layers.

No dogs and no guests are allowed on hikes. Have your guest join the group so they can agree to the liability waiver and attend an event.

Please remember that your Event Organizers are volunteers, the event is free and we are all adults.
