What started as a way to make a better blogging experience has grown into a vibrant open source project that powers an ever-growing percentage of the world’s websites. Join us as we celebrate 20 years of WordPress.

Our Favorite Features from 20 Years of WordPress

In the spirit of the celebration, join us for several lightning talks detailing personal favorite features added to WordPress over the last 20 years.

Speakers:

Daisy Olson: Daisy has worked in and around the WordPress community since 2007. She has spoken at WordCamps around the world. She also helped to organize the first WordCamp Boston in 2010. Daisy is passionate about improving Developer Experience in the WordPress open-source project and is always ready to help developers solve real-world problems. In her spare time, you’ll often find Daisy listening to audiobooks while knitting. She loves to travel with her family and has often spent many weeks throughout the year visiting different places.

Jesse Friedman: Jesse Friedman is a long-time innovator, author, speaker, and currently, the Head of WP.Cloud and Vice President of Innovation and Partnership Success on Jetpack at Automattic. He is the author of Web Designers Guide to WordPress and a member of the New Riders, "Voices that Matter" series. A former professor, and long-term WordPress community contributor.

Matthew Boynes: Matt Boynes is the Chief Technology Officer and a Partner at Alley, specializing in developing digital solutions for Alley’s clients and publishers. Matt oversees Alley’s overall development efforts, its relationships with the broader technology communities, and Alley’s team of developers. Matt is also a WordPress core contributor and author of numerous open source plugins.
