Presentation 1: Using WordPress to build a streaming service
NASA asked for help building a streaming service to replace NASA TV; asked that we use WordPress to help make it happen; and so we did.
This presentation will tell the story of deciding to use WordPress in NASA's new streaming service, NASA+; the role the WordPress played; and how the WordPress REST API was the critical ingredient.

J.J. Toothman
J.J. Toothman is President of Lone Rock Point, a digital agency that specializes in the government sector and ecosystem with a focus on web modernization, enterprise WordPress, and customer experience. He recently led NASA's the implmenation of NASA new WordPress powered website at www.nasa.gov. In the past J.J. has worked with the San Francisco based ticketing platform, Ticketfly (acquired by Eventbrite, now Ticketmaster), to develop and implement its social marketing platform for music venues as well as other organizations and institutions such as Stanford University.

Ken Gagne
Ken Gagne is a Technical Account Manager on the Newspack team of Automattic, where he helps local, independent news outlets launch and and maintain their WordPress websites. He is also the podcast co-host of Transporter Lock and a freelance writer and former editor for Computerworld. Originally from Massachusetts, Ken now lives the life of a digital nomad, traveling the world and working wherever there’s Wi-Fi.
