Presentation 1: Splitting a WordPress site in two: when to do it, and how you know it's time

Aaron Segal from Recurrent Ventures will share his story and lessons learned from the recent separation of [TheWarZone.com](http://thewarzone.com/) , a fast growing military and geopolitics column, out from under [TheDrive.com](http://thedrive.com/) , a leading automotive news outlet.

His talk will cover the why these two brands were initially combined, when we knew it was time to separate them, the technical process that went into the separation, and how he set both websites up for success and growth after the split.

Aaron Segal: Aaron has been working for Recurrent for over 5 years and has completed over 15 migrations to various types of WordPress-based platforms. Currently, he is the PM and engineering sprint lead on a multi-site WordPress VIP based platform
