Sneak Peek: New Choral Composition “In Childhood’s Thicket”

On October 16 at 6:30 p.m., just weeks before its world premiere by Chorus pro Musica, award-winning composer Andy Vores will preside over a special behind-the-scenes sneak peek of his newest work, “In Childhood’s Thicket,” a CpM commission. Andy will discuss the inspiration for the piece, the challenges and rewards of being commissioned for such a composition, and the journey to opening night. The talk will be followed by an open rehearsal featuring the chorus performing movements from the piece.

Chorus pro Musica will perform the world premiere of Andy Vores’ “In Childhood’s Thicket” on November 5, at 3 p.m. at Distler Performance Hall at Tufts University’s Granoff Music Center. This concert is free with general admission; first come, first serve.
