It’s been a long time. We shouldn’t have left you—left you without a scheduled meetup to step to. That’s right: we’re still on for this month and the meetup is this very Thursday, with an exciting talk from Bocoup’s own Corey Frang and a hopefully-exciting talk from me, your humble host. They say that the key to beating stage fright is to picture everyone in the audience as a Silverlight developer, so we’ll see how that goePLUG-IN FAILURE

Get the Most From GitHub
Corey Frang—a long time contributor to the jQuery project—is going to share the many ways that GitHub can make your life easier, increase your entire team’s productivity, and help all of us build better software. Knowing is approximately fifty percent of the battle, though, as they say—there’s more to using GitHub the right way than knowing which buttons to press. Corey will also take us through the social aspects of GitHub: the conventions we all need to know before diving into a major open source project.

Smaller, Faster Websites
Mat “Muscles McTouchdown” Marquis will share tools and techniques that ensure that your content will reach your most demanding (and least powerfully equipped) users, without detracting from the experience of users on the latest and greatest devices—without limiting the creativity of your team, and without a massively inflated deadline. We’ll discuss strategies for smarter asset delivery, techniques for avoiding potential points of failure, and start to cultivate development habits that help us deal with a vast landscape of unknowns from the very start of a project.

We’re looking forward to seeing you all here, and don’t hesitate to drop us a line at @bos_js (http://twitter.com/bos_js) if anything is on your mind before, after, or during!
