Boston New Technology Town Hall - Special Edition

Boston New Technology has been bringing people together for a long time. Founders. Builders. Operators. Mentors. Investors. Students. Community leaders. People arriving in Boston for the first time, and people who have been part of this ecosystem for decades.
This Town Hall is about bringing that community back into the room.
It has been a busy year for Boston’s innovation ecosystem. We’ve come through Startup Weekend and Boston Tech Week, Startup Boston Week is bringing thousands of people together across the city, and founders and builders are navigating an environment being reshaped by AI, changing markets, new technologies, and new ways of building companies and communities.
It feels like the right moment to ask a simple question:

What should Boston New Technology be for this community now?

BNT has always been strongest when it serves as a pulse for the ecosystem—not simply another event series, but a place where people meet people they otherwise wouldn’t, discover opportunities, test ideas, find collaborators, and help one another move forward.
We want to build the next chapter in that spirit—and we want the people who make up this community to have a voice in it.

We’ll talk about what’s been happening across BNT, what we’ve learned from recent community activity, and what we’re considering next, including:

• The return and evolution of BNT showcases
• Precision Pitch Practice and Product Lab
• More hackathons and hands-on builder programming
• The return of the BNT newsletter
• New opportunities for mentors, volunteers, collaborators, and community partners
• Better pathways for founders and builders to become part of the community—not just attend an event
• What BNT should start, stop, preserve, or reinvent as we look toward 2027

And then we want to hear from you.

What is Boston doing well? What is missing? What kinds of rooms are actually worth gathering people into? Where can BNT be useful—and where should we get out of the way and support the great work already happening elsewhere?

There will be no pitches and no carefully choreographed presentation. This is a conversation among people who care about Boston’s technology and startup community.

Whether you’ve been part of BNT for years, attended your first event recently, haven't seen us in a while, or have been watching from the sidelines wondering how to get involved, you are welcome.
