Hello Barbara how are you?
I'm 35 minutes into the link that you sent. As I listen to people who have never been arrested, and never been to prison in the USA talk about democracy, as a major feature of the USA. I realize that they are liars, or fools, or some complex mix of both.
When I was in my late teens, I listened to the last poets plenty, to give you context for some of my notions of the USA that goes back,  a little bit. Here's some of their poems.#1. Mean Machine...
I repeat I'm an confident atheist 30+ years, which primarily leaves me science.
Here's Robert Lauglin.
In 2008 he put out a book titled "the crime of reason and the closing on the scientific mind". I had a good look at it soon after it came out. Then I looked at the reviews of that book. And realized that many of those well established in this nation/state didn't want one of their own being as honest as Laughlin was being, about the state, and its effect on access to valuable scientific information, and how the Internet hinhers that access, not helps it. Lauglin's is just one opinion.
I've been In Boston 10 years. Once I found that MIT was kind of open I came as often as I was able. I've gone to seminars on probability, logic, topology, and many other things. Most of it I don't understand, yet I come and listen, and learn what I'm able to.
Some MIT seminars are open to the public, and a small portion are open to MIT people only. I've noticed that the seminars on encryption are not typically open to curious the public, they are only open to MIT affiliates only.
There is also the book " Bomb Power". About political power, and policy organization around nuclear weapons.
What is being talked about in the link you sent, has to be the way they describe it being, and evolving to a totalitarian state. As that's the nature of "power" in the human social context, as described by Manual Castells in his book, " Communication Power".
Thanks for the link you sent.
Best regards Ken.

I think this link is one of the most important that our community will ever d/l, I am an activist / dissident and
think everyone should listen to this video at least twice, William binney is a NSA whistleblower, a former NSA developer of this software he speaks of and used for data mining, he speaks of fusion centers,,  this forum is at MIT, and he is enlisting the aid of MIT, ACLU is also present at this forum.  He speaks not lightly of a totalitarian state, I having had dealings with this (state) the destruction and control of this my life through this (state) and know his fears are real. I pass this on to you and hope you will take the time to watch this, for this is in all our futures.
