North Shore (Topsfield MA) Wed Hill Climb Ride

Details
Good bi-weekly hill climb training ride to get the legs and lungs in shape for the summer riding season.
This is a no-drop ride through the beautiful hills south of Topsfield center. After a side-trip to Howlett street the ride heads to River Road and does some loops to take in each hill in both directions. By the end you’ll feel great and be ready for any hill the season ahead throws your way. Everyone is welcome, we will regroup at the top of each climb and we are never more than 2 miles from the start. The ride is fun, trust me, if you avoid hills this is the cure.
If you can't make it up one or more of the hills, there is no shame in getting off your bike and walking the rest of the way (a.k.a. "hike-a-bike"). We've all been there and done that before, including every pro rider in the Tour de France at some point.
DISTANCE: 18.8 miles
ELEVATION: 1,236 ft
RECOMMENDED BIKE TYPE(s):
-Any bike can be used on this type of ride. Obviously, a thin tire road bike is going to be the best for this due to being designed for it and the lightest weight, but any bike with some decently low gears should be able to handle this ride.
