TNR Ponyhenge

Details
This week our annual trip to Ponyhenge!
This ride will again start near the Alewife Craft Food Hall/Alewife Garage. We'll keep a pace of 14-15 mph on the average. This is intended to be a no-drop ride, but again, you should be in good riding condition at this point. We will wait near the top of the hills and before we turn after long stretches so that everyone can ride at their own pace.
The ride will be similar to last Thursday riding a few of the same roads in reverse, with a fair number of climbs (1600 ft) over a 32 mile distance.
While we should ride at a pace that gets us back to the start comfortably before dark, you're encouraged to bring lights. Make sure that your bike is in good working order before you leave home. Helmets required.
Registration closes 24 hrs before the ride. If there are fewer than 4 riders, I will cancel. If you sign-up, show up. Everyone will be waitlisted to assure that dedicated riders get a spot.
I will offer a brief safety talk before we depart promptly at 5:45. If rain is in the forecast, I will cancel the ride by 4 pm.
Also, be sure to sign up for the North Shore Cyclist Blazing Saddles century. There are 4 mapped road rides, and this year a mixed terrain 54 miler. Check it out...www.nycyc.org/blazing-saddles-century-2025 for more details.
For those who are interested, we can gather for a beer and munchies at the food hall post ride.
If anyone is traveling by car, there is paid parking in the Alewife Garage and some free parking in the lot at the Summer Shack kitty corner from the start. You may also find a spot at Thompson Field in Arlington along the Minuteman path.
