Database Migrations / Integration with fewer dependencies - Dan Gillis
I like ORMs and Migrations, but I like raw SQL and DDL better. This talk will describe how to generate code from SQL and execute database migrations without using an ORM or migration library. This talk will focus on two components - automated database migrations in PostgreSQL using mage and DataGrip and generating type-safe code from SQL with sqlc.
➤➤ Unconference, opened by Bill Kennedy ➤➤
Next, we will switch gears to an unconference discussion on the new Go 1.18 release. With generics and more, 1.18 is an exciting release to finally reach, so we want to open the floor to the Zoom call to hear everyone's opinions. To open up the conversation, Bill Kennedy (of goinggo.net fame), will show us around his examples of coding in Go 1.18.
