Welcome to our next live online Boston Karaoke Meetup! This Saturday, October 3, we’re diving into a theme that hits close to home for anyone who’s navigated the shifting social ladders of life: “Winners and Losers.” The inspiration for this night evolved from a fantastic "Nerds and Losers" idea by Marion. As someone who proudly wore the nerd badge in high school but later found myself at the center of the popular crowd in college, I’ve lived on both sides of that coin. When my co-host and sponsor, Lisa Ann, suggested tweaking the concept to “Winners and Losers,” the final theme clicked into place. Huge shoutout to Lisa Ann for helping make these incredible nights possible!
This theme holds a hidden spark for all of us. While practicing my own opening track for the night—a U2-style cover of the crooning classic, "Night and Day"—I had a flash of intuition about how we can make this evening interactive by introducing a live twist: after you finish singing your song, the rest of the group will collectively decide whether your track belongs to a winner or a loser. Please rest assured this isn’t a judgment of your vocal talent or the quality of your performance. It’s about the soul and storytelling of the music itself.
To get ready for the virtual stage, I invite you to pick songs that embody either peak "winner" energy—like a triumphant stadium anthem or a confident pop track—or the ultimate "loser" vibe, such as a beautifully heartbreaking ballad or a song for the misunderstood. You are also welcome to dress the part if you want to lean into the fun! Whether you channel your inner champion or lay your heart bare through a glorious musical tragedy, you’ll find that everyone walks away a winner here. Bring your voice, your vote for the chat, and your love for great music—I cannot wait to see you online this Saturday!
As always, the theme is completely optional and you are welcome to sing whatever you like.

We will use Zoom for our main party connection and Watch2Gether to play our backing tracks. YOU MUST HAVE 2 TABS OPEN!

How to Submit Your Song:
When it is your turn to sing, simply copy your YouTube backing track URL and paste it directly into the Watch2Gether Chat (located on the lower right side of the window).
Note: You can also play YouTube tracks natively on your own computer audio through Zoom, or perform your song A Capella—always a welcome and brave choice!
