Black Joe Lewis @ Great Scott

let's check out a hot new band out of austin, Black Joe Lewis and The Honey Bears. they've exploded onto the scene over the last year (appearing on 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson' in september) and now they're touring extensively, making it to boston in february.

frontman joe lewis writes and sings raw, hard bluesy funk, songs that are often both hilarious and pitch-perfect vignettes of real people in real situations. his charismatic on-stage presence and style have earned him comparisons to james brown -- high praise.
