Visit sixty trees in Balboa Park generally disregarded or rarely seen by the general public. Located behind the Starlight Stadium and Air Space Museum, several of the species have less than five representatives in the park - others are one-of-a-kind. Discussion will include identification, native habitat, uses, and botanically unique properties with lessons about how plants adapt to unique settings.
As you know, parking has recently undergone significant changes in the Park. Free parking is available for this walk by using the southern lot at inspiration point where there are overhead solar panels. From there participants can either walk over to the entrance to the Comic Con Museum and meet at 10:15 am, OR
take the free park tram from the parking lot to Panama Plaza and meet at the Visitor's Center at 10:00 am
