Topic: The Tarot Tableau
Our focus this month is on the B.O.T.A. Tarot Tableau. This specific layout of the 22 Major Arcana Tarot Keys was created by Paul Foster Case in the early 20th century, and it is designed to reveal many relationships among the keys. These relationships include the Hebrew letter attributions, pictorial similarities and antitheses, and mathematical harmonies. Careful inspection and mediation on this arrangement of the Tarot Keys is an exciting and important aspect of deepening our understanding of Tarot.
Together, we will explore a brief overview of the topic, followed by a group discussion of our initial impressions of the Tableau, any relationships we may readily identify, and how this arrangement can be useful in practical application to our daily lives. We will close with a meditation on Malkuth, the Epilogos from The Book of Tokens.
