    CultureHouse

Our first two game nights of the year at CultureHouse were a big success, so why stop at two?! Let's do another one on Februrary 22th! This event, like the previous ones, is also open to all, even if you have little or no past experience with the game and just want to try it out. Bring your friends and come help hunt the Demon that killed your favorite Storyteller! If you don't know anything about Blood on the Clocktower, it is a new social deduction, hidden identity game from Australia. Its premise is similar to the game "Mafia" that you may have played in school, but with everything turned up to 11. It's a fun social experience for up to 20 people, with a game time of 1-2 hours depending on the number of players. For the more game-aware among you, the game follows in the same vein as Werewolf and Resistance: the good team tries to smoke out the evil team, while the evil team is making life hard for good. Clocktower is a fun new take on the genre where dead players continue participating in the game, everyone has a special ability, and the game is run by a Storyteller who ensures that the game is interesting and balanced. There are plenty more details, as well as videos of gameplay over at https://bloodontheclocktower.com/. CultureHouse, the generous group that lets us use their space, runs pop-up community spaces around Cambridge that are entirely free to use for community events. They serve free tea and coffee (donations are welcome!), and allow both outside food and drink (though no alcohol) for those so inclined. We will be at their Kendall location, which is located at 500 Kendall St, Cambridge, MA[masked]

  • BOTC Experienced Player Night

    Inman Square Bluebikes Station

Hi all! It's time for another experienced player games night where we let those of you who have played a decent amount of Trouble Brewing get to sink your teeth into more advanced editions. We'll adjust our games to the experience level of the attendees, but to attend this event, we strongly suggest you have played at least five games of Trouble Brewing! Liz, one of our regulars, has graciously offered to host at her house yet again (thank you Liz!). We'll adjust our games to the experience level of the attendees, including Storytellers. To attend this event, we strongly suggest you have played at least five games of Trouble Brewing! For this event, please do us the courtesy of "formally" RSVPing as "attending" if you are, and please ask your bring-alongs to do the same. You already know Clocktower has a lower and upper limit, and we want to give you a great experience! If you _are_ coming, please list yourself as Going on this event so we get a player count in advance. If you are not going, well, then, you're not Going are you :D It's okay to also bring other people as long as they also set themselves as Going here or otherwise get in touch! Liz lives near Inman Square, which is close to both Central and Harvard. When you RSVP, ping me for her address. The event is listed as 7pm to 11pm, but if you want to show up later or have to leave early, that's perfectly okay. We may order food, if the group wishes. **Note that Liz has two cats, so if you have cat allergies, remember your antihistamines!** See also https://www.facebook.com/events/2500806669950542/

    Ray and Maria Stata Center

Hi all! It's time for another experienced player games night where we let those of you who have played a decent amount of Trouble Brewing get to sink your teeth into more advanced editions. You already know Clocktower has a lower and upper limit, and we want to give you a great experience! Note that this time the even will be at MIT outside normal building opening hours, so please ping me (Jon) if you get here and can't get into the building. We'll be on the fourth floor of the Stata Center in the "Star" room (32-D463). The fourth floor is a big open space and you want to go towards the "Dreyfoos" side. Then follow the screams. The event is listed as 5pm to midnight, but if you want to show up later or have to leave early, that's perfectly okay. We may order food, if the group wishes. • public visit to Tabletop Day Burlington 2019

    335 Cambridge St

We're really excited to bring Blood On The Clocktower to Tabletop Day Burlington 2019! It's free, family-friendly, with LOTS of games to try, and friendly folks to show you how. *special notes: since this is a family-friendly event, we'll keep our player deaths more Wile E. Coyote than HP Lovecraft. My minimum age for BOTC on this day will be casual-13 or gamer-11 - and ask us about the "Revolutionary" Fabled character, specifically designed to aid inclusion. Please RSVP to Tabletop Day Burlington 2019 on Facebook, not us - we have set the attendee count for this event to 1 to help remind you. The hours posted here are the event's hours; we'll be there for a good chunk of the day but will take breaks. https://www.facebook.com/events/2069344436452110/

  • BOTC at Knight Moves Somerville

    Knight Moves Cafe Somerville

    $10.00

Eons ago, Demons roamed free in Somerville, and their primary breeding ground lay where Knight Moves Café lies today. Recently, one of the long-lost Demons resurfaced, and killed a group of poor local Storytellers. The Knight Moves crowd went wild, and determined to avenge this atrocity, by doing what they do best: play board games. They slay Demon after Demon in Ravenswood Bluff in the hope that it would avenge the Knight Moves storytellers. But alas, it seems, the original Demon (Steven Medway) still haunts the café and its patrons, and leaves them restless in bed as they plot his demise. Come join us for more killing and deception on Wednesday the 13th at Knight Moves Cafe Somerville! There's a $10 entry fee, but also tasty beverages and friendly townsfolk (well, most of them anyway). This event is open to anyone, regardless of whether you've played Blood on the Clocktower before or not!

  • BOTC Experienced Player Night

    Inman Square Bluebikes Station

Hi all! This coming Saturday, Liz (one of our regulars) has graciously offered to host another "experienced player" games night. We'll play the intermediate editions (Sects and Violets, Bad Moon Rising), and depending on the crowd, perhaps even some advanced custom scripts. This is not for the faint of heart, so you should only join this event if you've played at least five games of Trouble Brewing (the base game)! Liz lives near Inman Square, which is close to both Central and Harvard. Get in touch with me and I'll send you the actual address so we don't blast her location all over the internet. It'll also give us a sense of the experience of the crowd that'll show up. If you _are_ coming, please list yourself as Going on this event so we get a player count in advance. If you are not going, well, then, you're not Going are you :D It's okay to also bring other people as long as they also set themselves as Going here or otherwise get in touch with me! While the event is listed as 2pm to 8pm, don't feel like you have to be there the entire time! If you want to show up later or have to leave early, that's perfectly okay. We'll probably also end up ordering food at some point, since even demons need sustenance. **Note that Liz has two cats, so if you have cat allergies, remember your antihistamines!** See also https://www.facebook.com/events/394661851298602/
