Details
This is the first Botmaker's meetup in our new home- Babycastles!
First up we'll have Byron Hulcher (http://www.twitter.com/hypirlink) show us how amazing and painless building bots can be when using Glitch!
Next is Gautam Arora (http://twitter.com/gautam), who will talk about how he built a FB Messenger bot with API.AI (http://api.ai/) to seamlessly connect event attendees interested in jobs to his recruiting team on Slack.
Brian Moore (http://twitter.com/lanewinfield) will be up next, talking about how much he loves video bots.
Maxcell Wilson (https://twitter.com/maxcell) is going to tell us all about making your bot see like you using visual recognition.
Finally, Greg Leuch from Poncho will fill us in on working on (with?) the internet's favorite weather cat.
Please reach out (hello@angelina-marie.com) if you are interested in giving a 15 minute talk or demo at November's event!

This event is free, but we will be accepting donations at the door.
Botmakers is inclusive of everyone and anyone who is interested in bots. Our goal is to have a variety of perspectives, especially from people who don't consider themselves "technical." Because bots are conversational, we believe it's really important to hear the thoughts and recommendations from technologists, therapists, teachers, linguists, and anyone else who identifies as a human. We foster a community of builders and leaders, and look forward to seeing what we can make together.
Babycastles is a registered 501C3 non-profit collective with roots in New York's D.I.Y. culture dedicated to building platforms for diversity in video games culture at every level from creators to consumers, connecting the independent game developer community with the broader New York art community, identifying exciting new voices in game creation from around the world and providing them exposure to new audiences. Babycastles’ mission is to promote, inspire and develop emerging, diverse and underrepresented voices in the world of independent videogames and digital art. Over the past seven years, we’ve done this through organizing exhibitions, music and art events, workshops, game jams and more.
Botmakers expects all speakers and attendees to follow our Code of Conduct (https://botwiki.org/coc/).
