We're a diverse group of humans interested in all things bots! Join us to talk about ethics, conversational UI, interesting applications of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing, and see some cool demos.

Interested in giving a talk or showing off your bot? Please email me here: hello@angelina-marie.com

This month's speakers:

  • Simon from Allie will talk about why his team decided on building a bot to improve diversity and inclusion at companies and lessons learned. @simonsayscode, https://www.alliebot.com
  • Jenn Schiffer is the community engineer of Glitch at Fog Creek. Glitch is the friendly community where you'll build the app of your dreams, and a lot of times those apps turn out to be bots - and Jenn is going to talk about how Glitch can and wants to facilitate bringing those bot dreams to digital life! @jennschiffer, https://glitch.com
  • Despite a large body of research on machine learning-based dialogue systems, most bots are still implemented using a state machine and a set of rules, which limits them to FAQ-style or simple dialogues. Alex will talk about how Rasa ships products based on its applied AI research, and how these open source tools are enabling a large developer community to benefit from the power of ML-based dialogue, which allows for more complex, multi-turn conversations. @Rasa_HQ (https://twitter.com/Rasa_HQ)

Tickets are $5 - but please feel free to donate! Want to come, but can't afford a ticket? Please email me to work something out.

Botmakers' expects all speakers and attendees to follow our Code of Conduct. https://botwiki.org/coc/

We're excited to announce our new partnership with SamsungNEXT, who will be hosting our events for the remainder of the year!
