[Ladies Hike] Niwot Mountain from Brainard Winter Lot

Join me and other Boulder-area women on this beautiful trail up to the summit of Niwot Mountain! This hike is a women only event. I plan to host coed hikes in the future though!

We will start from the Brainard Lake Winter Lot which is the free parking area just before the main fee station. There are pit toilets at the parking area.

This hike is ~5.5 miles and 1500ft. of elevation gain. We will keep a casual conversational pace so expect the hike to be 3-4 hours.

There is no cell service at the trailhead location. I will let everyone know what I'm wearing on the morning of so that we can find each other at the trailhead. I will depart from the lot promptly at 9:15am so that we can summit and return before afternoon storms roll in.

This is an exposed trail at the top so prepare for lots of sun and potentially windy conditions. Bring lots of water and snacks. We'll stop at the summit and rest as we take in the 360 degrees of beautiful mountain views before heading back down.
