Walden Ponds and Wild Provisions Beer Project

Details

Happy new year, everyone,
We will start it out with a visit to one of Boulder County's favorites: Walden Ponds. Jim Fischer has kindly offered to lead us. He's a long-time birder with sightings in over 40 countries and a knowledgeable, fun guide.

At Walden we should see species of waterfowl, raptors, woodpeckers, icterids, sparrows, and others in the varied habitats. We will have loaner binoculars if you don't have your own.

After birding for a couple of hours, we'll head to Wild Provisions for some socializing and snacks provided by Boulder County Audubon Society. This brewery touts its Czech-style lagers and wild-fermented craft beers. We have reserved the private room for our group. Plan to purchase your own drinks.

As always, PLEASE only sign up for this meetup if you're certain you can attend. If at any time after you sign up, you decide you can't attend, please cancel your RSVP so that others on the waitlist will have a chance to join us. Likewise, if you're on the waitlist but then can't attend, please cancel your waitlist RSVP.

Walden Ponds is on 75th St. between Valmont Rd. and Jay Rd. At the sign, turn west and drive to the Cottonwood Marsh parking lot. We would really appreciate it if you could bring your scope if you have one!
The brewery is at 2209 Central Ave., corner of Flatiron Parkway and Central Ave., across from Upslope Brewing.

See you soon!
