Waneka Lake and Liquid Mechanics in Lafayette

Details

Spring migration is starting!

As always, please sign up only if you are certain you can attend. If, between now and Friday the 11th, you find that you are not able to attend, please cancel your rsvp on either the confirmed list or the waitlist. Please don't wait until the day of the event to cancel. Be considerate! Many thanks! Another reminder is that each attendee must be a Meetup member and sign up individually.

Also note that this event takes place on a Saturday, not our usual Sunday date.

Jim Fischer will lead us again. Jim is a very experienced birder with sightings in 40+ countries and is knowledgeable and fun. I will bring extra loaner binoculars if you need them. If you have a spotting scope, please bring it along and thanks.

To get to the Waneka Lake parking lot from Boulder, get on South Boulder Rd. going east. Drive for about 7 miles until you go two blocks past Centaurus High School to the traffic light at the intersection of South Boulder Rd. and Centaurus Village. At that light, turn left (north) and go 3 blocks to Caria; turn right onto Caria and go east for 3/8 of a mile to Emma St. There you will see the parking lot to the left where we will meet.

After birding for a couple of hours, we will go to Liquid Mechanics at 297 US 287 #100, close to Waneka Lake. There we have reserved a private room for our group. You pay for your own drinks and BCAS will provide us with some food to enjoy. See you soon!
