Hope you've had a good summer in spite of some extreme heat and very smoky skies at times. Before signing up for this event, please be certain that you can attend. If at any time before Sept. 25, you decide you can't join us, cancel your RSVP (including the waitlist!) so people on the waitlist can move up. Thanks!
We are fortunate to have Megan Jones Patterson lead us. She is a wildlife biologist and educator with avian experience from Australia to the neo-tropics to North America. She is active with both BCAS and Colorado Field Ornithologists. Meet at the Teller Lakes North parking area south side of Valmont, between 75th and 95th (NOT the Teller Lakes South parking lot off Arapahoe Ave. where Google Maps usually directs "Teller Lakes" to, and also NOT the White Rocks Trailhead off 95th). I will bring loaner binoculars if you don't have your own.
After birding for a couple of hours, we'll make our way to Avery for some drinks you purchase yourself and snacks that Boulder County Audubon Society has generously offered to provide. Avery is at 4910 Nautilus Ct. N. in Boulder.
