Saturday morning walk around McKay Lake
Details
Hi everyone! Kick off your weekend with some fresh air and great conversation. Join me for a morning walk around beautiful McKay Lake in Broomfield. Whether you are a returning member or joining us for your very first event, we would love to have you out!
We will meet up under the covered pavilion right next to the main trailhead parking lot off 144th Avenue. Look for me in a burnt orange bucket hat! We will start walking promptly at 9:05 AM. We plan to go around the lake loop twice for a total of 3.2 miles. We will maintain a brisk but conversational pace, finishing right around 10:00 AM.
The McKay Lake Trail is a wide, flat, and well-maintained crushed-gravel path. Because the trail is wide open, it offers gorgeous, unobstructed views of the water and mountains, but it also has very little shade. I suggest bringing a light layer, some water, a hat, and sunscreen!
Depending on what people's schedules look like after the walk, we can always see if a few folks want to head over to a local cafe nearby to grab a casual coffee, tea, or chai! There are a couple of great spots just a few minutes down the road if anyone is free and interested in hanging out a bit longer.
Please update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance (9:00AM Fri 9/25) if your plans change and you can no longer make it. Thank you so much for respecting everyone's time!
Can't wait to see you all there and enjoy a beautiful Saturday morning together.
