Monthly Meetup

Hello all,

We are looking to try something new to engage the meetup members and give people chances to collaborate on an Elixir project. We are planning on starting a new long running project for the meetup that everyone will be welcome to contribute to. During the June 8th meeting we will discuss three potential ideas for what the project should be and decide on which one we'll use going forward. The current ideas are:

• Matrix protocol implementation in Elixir with a LiveView app to connect

• Use Matrix protocol to create a shared music listening experience

• See matrix.org for above

• Video Karaoke using Web RTC

• Potentially use Sox to filter out lyrics of song

• Use Genius or SoundHound to get song lyrics

• Stream the singer and song to the group for a Karaoke experience
