Every month we meet to hang out and talk functional programming.
This month, Greg Pfeil will give an intro to writing your own GHC compiler plugins and why it’s a good idea. Greg has written plugins ranging from the very simple (NoRecursion) to the very complex (Categorifier) and has learned that the confidence hurdle of “changing the compiler” is higher than the difficulty of actually doing so. So, if there’s something you wish GHC would do for you, come and learn how to ask it to.
