Burt Wagner's Story In our ongoing efforts to show everyone how out of control the American justice system is, we'll present to you the outrageous story of 52-year-old Boulder resident, Burt Wager, at our March 13th Happy Hour.

Burt and his family are unfortunate victims at the confluence of overzealous law enforcement, violative laws like the Patriot Act and Civil Asset Forfeiture, authorities who break their own rules, and judges who kowtow to prosecutors rather than remain independent.

Burt will be with us in person to talk about his experiences of being investigated and tracked for 18 months by homeland security, indicted by a grand jury, arrested, charged with a Federal felony, and thrown into solitary confinement in a Federal detention center, all over simply trading Bitcoins on localbitcoins.com as a hobby.

He will also discuss the nine months of legal negotiations that led to the charges finally being dropped and the return of most of the property seized in the raid on his home and corporate offices.
