## Beacon Bash at Loveland Valley
Location: Loveland Ski Area, CO (Loveland Valley Parking Lot)
This is the beginner slopes area, east of Loveland Basin (the main area)
No lift ticket required and no charge. Donations likely requested.
### Schedule:
9:00am: Warm up with Colorado Personal Fitness, beacon park opens, vendor tents open.
10:30am: Avy Deployment Challenge TBD. Snow dependent.
11:30am: Avy School presentations, and What they Do.
12:30pm: Justin Ibarra with Colorado Adventure Guides mock rescue demo, in main event area.
2:00pm: Raffle Gear Give Away!!!!!
3:00-4:00pm: Happy Hour Meet Up!
"Beacon Bash was created as a way to promote early-season practice with beacon searches and to support the Friends of CAIC. Beacon Bash promotes and prioritizes safety within the backcountry skiing and split-boarding community. They are dedicated to educating and empowering outdoor enthusiasts with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to make informed decisions and mitigate risks while exploring the pristine wilderness. Through interactive workshops, hands-on training, and expert guidance, they aim to foster a culture of responsibility, preparedness, and camaraderie among backcountry adventurers. Their ultimate goal is to ensure that every participant returns home safely, while preserving the pristine beauty of our backcountry playgrounds for generations to come."
