Hidden Valley (RMNP)

Hidden Valley wins the new snow contest for next week.

All are welcome. This is a great place to learn if you are new to the sport. Avi-gear required. No one skis alone. We will again start with Avi practice and smooth our skills.

Hidden Valley is a former ski area that was closed in 1991. Open bowls and chutes are above the road, and tighter runs with options for trees down below. The terrain here is N-NE facing and mostly low-angle.

I believe the entry stations are not manned early in the morning (before 8a???), meaning you can probably get in without the entrance fee, but be prepared.

Please bring a radio if you have one (not required). Set it to Channel 20 and Interference Eliminator Code 54. There is no cell service in Hidden Valley.
