For Saturday we'll be heading to the West side of Golden Gate Canyon State Park and starting from Panorama Point.

ROUTE
The primary route will be just under 11 miles, around 3.5 hours, and about 2800 feet of gain. We'll be running sections of the Mule Deer, Raccoon, and Coyote trails, and perhaps a few others, then adding on a social trail climb. There is a shorter lollipop loop we can add on that includes Greenfield Meadow for a few extra miles, or for those needing big miles the primary loop can be expanded to a larger loop by remaining on the Mule Deer Trial.

There are several shorter options, the first being a little loop around Panorama Point. Great for those interesting in just hiking. For a shorter run, you could also run the loop in reverse and meet up with us as we come around, then turn back and finish with us. Alternatively, the social trail climb is an out/back, so that could be skipped to cut down on some miles and elevation.

CARPOOL / DIRECTIONS
The carpool option is the park-and-ride lot at the NE corner of Hwy 93 and 170/Eldorado Springs Dr. south of Boulder at 7:00a.

Directions to Trailhead
Drive south out of Boulder on 93. Then west/right on 72. Then south/left on Twin Spruce Rd, which becomes Gap Rd. You'll eventually see Panorama Point TH on the right (north side of road). I anticipate we'll be at the trailhead around 8:00a.

NOTE: Some people had trouble finding the trailhead during past events, or were routed through the park when using GPS. Please review my instructions above and plan ahead of time.

Putting "Boulder, Colorado to Panorama Point, Colorado 80422" into Google Maps works well. Here is the map from Boulder - Google Maps link.

Being a state park, there is a fee of $12 per car, unless you included access with your vehicle registration renewal. Please carpool if you can. There is limited place and it is a popular area.

Leashed dogs are allowed.

BREAKFAST (READ ACTION REQUIRED)
Let's plan to have breakfast at the trailhead. There are picnic tables. Please use the Google Sign-Up Form to identify what you plan to bring to share.
