As an alternative to the close-to-town low-elevation run Scott is leading this week, I will be leading a group for a run in the Indian Peaks. Let's get up to the high country while we still can!

The trail starts at Camp Dick and meanders its way up about 3000 ft over 8.5 miles to the St. Vrain glacier. It's one of my favorite runs. It's a 17-mile out-and-back with no major climbs. The group ran this trail on July 14, but I couldn't make it. Time for a do-over. All abilities welcome! It's possible to turn around early; you'll still get some really great views, and the Aspen should be gorgeous.

Carpool options:

  1. Bustop (North Boulder gentleman's club) parking lot at 6:30am - 4871 N. Broadway, Boulder, CO
  2. Stone Cup in Lyons roughly 6:50am - 442 High St. @ the corner of 36 & High, Lyons, CO

If you want to meet us at the trailhead, take Hwy 7 west from Lyons to Hwy 72. Head south on 72 for about 5 miles to the Peaceful Valley Campground. Turn right/west and continue for about 1 mile through the Peaceful Valley and Camp Dick campgrounds to the parking lot in the back.

We should be at the trailhead around 7:45am.

This is in the Indian Peak Wilderness, so dogs must be leashed.
As always, please let us know where you'll be meeting us in your RSVP.
