Eldo Canyon hike with the new Eldo bus from Boulder!

Boulder County has started a shuttle bus from Boulder to Eldorado Canyon State Park:

The Eldo Shuttle runs every 20 minutes, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Download the route map to see where to get on:

I will be at Broadway and 27th Way at 8:30am. If you're on a later bus, text me at (720) 217-6589. I expect to arrive at the park around 9am.

"All shuttle passengers will be required to have a valid state parks pass to ride the shuttle into the state park. Shuttle riders can bring an annual pass, purchase a day pass online on the Colorado Parks and Wildlife page, or bring $4 cash per adult (exact change). If paying by credit card, shuttle riders will need to exit the shuttle at the Visitor Center at the end of the route...

"If you have an annual pass or purchased the Keep Colorado Wild pass as part of your vehicle registration, it covers the entrance fee for the passholder and up to three other adults who are riding the shuttle with you into the State Park. If you purchased the Keep Colorado Wild pass, either bring your vehicle registration or a photo of it."

If you have an annual pass (state parks, not national parks!) please comment below and let three people enter the park with you. I'll buy an annual pass when I get there.

It looks like if you have an annual pass you can ride the bus to the Visitor Center. If you have to buy a pass you'll have to get off at the Entrance Station and walk to the Visitor Center.

We will regroup at the Visitor Center, then start with an easy stroll on the Fowler Trail. Yes, ladies, you can wear a dress and heels on the Fowler Trail. This part is out and back so late people can catch the group.

We'll then decide whether to do the Rattlesnake Gulch Trail (2.9 miles) or the Walker Ranch loop (14.5 miles). We might split into two groups.

The Eldo Shuttle joins the Hessie Shuttle (that I suggested to the Forest Service!), the Chautauqua Shuttle, and Bustang to Estes Park.
