Willow Lakes, Gore Range, Moderate or Advanced backpacking overnight

Details
I'll drop off the passengers at the Willowbrook Trailhead in Silverthorne. Your hike will be 6.6 miles with 2,500' elevation gain.
The drivers will park at the North Rock Creek trailhead. This is a few miles longer. (I'll post mileages tomorrow.)
We'll meetup and camp at the Willow Lakes. Be prepared to camp on snow.
Sunday morning I'll lead an optional excursion off-trail up to Willow Pass. This will include snowfields so bring microspikes and trekking poles.
I require bearproof food containers on all of my hikes.
Bring a walkie-talkie if you have one. I use channel 1.
If you have a Garmin InReach give me your InReach address. Mine is kehoe@inreach.garmin.com.
If you want to carpool, post in the comments where you are coming from. I'm coming from Boulder. We can meet at the Wooly Mammoth parking lot in Golden.
I will crosspost this on the Colorado Backpackers Meetup.
1. From I-70 Exit 205: Head north on Highway 9 from the Silverthorne exit (Exit 205).
2. Locate Rock Creek Road: Approximately 7.7 miles north of the exit, turn left onto Rock Creek Road (County Road 1350). This turn is across from the Blue River Campground.
3. Winter Trailhead: Follow Rock Creek Road for about 1.2 miles. The winter trailhead parking will be on the left.
4. Summer Trailhead: If you're heading to the main trailhead for summer hiking, continue past the winter parking for another 1.7 miles on the 4WD road. The main trailhead and parking area will be at the end of this road.
