We’re excited to announce that PickNik will be supporting World MoveIt! Day on October 25th in Boulder! World MoveIt! Day is an international hackathon to improve the MoveIt! code base, documentation, and community. We hope to close as many pull requests and issues as possible and explore new areas of features and improvements for the now six year old framework. Beginners are welcome to join us to review the tutorials and get immediate help when needed.

MoveIt! is state of the art software for mobile manipulation, incorporating the latest advances in motion planning, manipulation, 3D perception, kinematics, control and navigation. It provides an easy-to-use platform for developing advanced robotics applications, evaluating new robot designs and building integrated robotics products for industrial, commercial, R&D and other domains.

PickNik will be hosting the Boulder event, joining by video conference at least 7 other locations around the world. We will be working from PickNik's office on Broadway and Pearl and they will be providing lunch to participants. Some of their engineers will be joining us for the hackathon as well.
