Argentium Hollow Ring with Ronda Coryell
In this two day class, you will learn to make a pattern layout for this tapered, hollow ring. The ring is fused together enhancing your fusing and embellishment skills. Completing the project, you will leave class with confidence and exquisitely finished pieces in beautiful Argentium Silver. ​Prerequisite Basic Argentium Fusing and Fabricating Skills Cost: $345 for BoMA members, $395 for non-members (non-member difference will be collected in class) Materials kit: $50 ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR Ronda Coryell is a Jewelers of America Certified Master Bench Jeweler and, one of the world’s most well regarded experts on the use of Argentium. Founder of the Northwest Chapter of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths, she now devotes her time to lecturing and teaching worldwide. Ronda has taught and lectured in such places as Bali, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Spain and England. She won First Place in the prestigious Saul Bell Awards and continues to gain recognition in competition and exhibition. Her work is included in several books on contemporary jewelry: 500 Earrings, 500 Bracelets, The Art and Craft of Jewelry Making. ​Students need to bring Jewelers Saw and 3/0 blades Charcoal block Needle files Half round pliers Chain nose pliers Flat or parallel pliers Round nose pliers Delrin hammer Solder/metal shear (Joyce Chen my favorite) Files - half round ring file med/fine Needle file - half round 2 or 4 cut Steel bench block Tweezers fine tip Sharpie Wire cutter (flush cutting best) Sanding papers 3M Bristle Brushes (6 per mandrels) blue, peach, & green (optional) $50 cash or a check made out to Ronda for the materials kit * Materials Kit $50 (Supplied by Instructor)* ​Argentium sheet and wire *Materials kit purchase is required for all our workshops. What we're about

Boulder Metalsmithing Association is a Colorado 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Our mission is to educate people about the creative and technical skills involved in metalsmithing and to promote the appreciation of metalwork as an art form through demonstrations, workshops and exhibits.

Our Second Saturday Demonstrations are open to the public, everyone is welcome. Demos are $5, or you can pay an annual membership rate of $45 per calendar year (January through December). Membership benefits include free admittance to monthly demos, discounts and advance notice on workshops, a free page on our website, opportunity to participate in First Friday sales and eligibility to use our open studio.
