What we’re about

Hi, I’m AJ Shannon, and I know the pain of a tragic, unwanted divorce all too well. The kind of heartache that hits you like a wave, leaving you breathless and broken. For me, this season—especially the holidays—has been excruciating. The loneliness is overwhelming. It’s a feeling I never thought I’d experience, and yet here I am, fighting it every single day. The feeling of being alone, unloved, unseen, and disconnected from everything I once knew is more than just painful—it’s suffocating.

And I know I’m not alone in this.

There are so many of us out there, struggling in silence. We don’t have to face this kind of heartbreak alone, even if it feels like we do. That’s why I started this group. I wanted to create a space for people who are dealing with the same kind of pain—the kind that cuts deep and makes you question everything. I know what it’s like to feel invisible and isolated, like your whole world is falling apart, while everyone else seems to be moving on without you. I know the loneliness that gnaws at you at night, the kind that creeps in when everyone else is celebrating and you’re left with an empty heart and an even emptier home.

This group is here for those of us who are hurting. Whether it’s from divorce, the end of a significant relationship, or any kind of loss that leaves you feeling broken, we’re here to share our stories and lean on each other. You don’t have to suffer alone anymore. This is a space where we can connect with others who understand. There’s no need for judgment or pretending everything’s fine. Here, we can be real about our pain, our struggles, and our journey toward healing.

This group is open to everyone, and that includes people who identify as LGBTQ+ or are part of the kink community. I know that sometimes, the ways we process and heal from heartbreak aren’t always understood by everyone. We deserve a space where we can express ourselves fully—where we can find acceptance and support, no matter our background, identity, or where we’re at in our healing journey.

I know that healing doesn’t happen overnight, but I also know that community and support can make all the difference. If you’re reading this and feeling that same ache, the same isolation, I want you to know that you’re not alone. We’re here, and we’re walking this painful path together. Together, we can build something beautiful out of the brokenness. We can heal, we can grow, and we can find a sense of belonging once again.

So, if you’re hurting, if you feel like you’re losing yourself in this pain, this group is for you. Let’s be there for each other, one step at a time. You don’t have to face this alone anymore.
