Waquoit Bay and Washburn Circumnavigation

This is an eight mile, Level II trip. We will put in at White’s Landing just off of Rt 28. Head down Child’s River and into Waquoit bay, cross Waquoit and slip up Quashnet River a bit before heading down the shore line. Intend to then head out into the sound to circumnavigate Washburn Island and then return up Child’s River. If the cut looks too busy/choppy we will remain in Waquoit working up Washburn island and back to launch. We will lunch on one of the beaches, so bring a lunch for yourself.

Boat requirements: at least 14 foot boat, life jacket ( worn), spray skirt, wet exit and rescue skills.
