Scenic Purbeck 5 mile walk from Worth Matravers

We will do a circuitous route from the Car Park to Winspit Quarry and explore the caves, then follow the Coastal Path to Dancing Ledge before returning to the start point. It will not be an amble but it will also not be a speed march. The distance is 5 miles with some steep descents and ascents so a reasonable level of fitness is required. Because of the steep and sometimes narrow paths we will restrict this event to humans only as dogs can be an additional trip hazard. We will stop briefly at Dancing Ledge so those wishing to may take a dip, (there is a marvelous little pool cut into the rock). Dress for the weather, with comfortable sturdy footwear, and take drinks and snacks and swimwear if desired. Upon completion we will repair to the Square and Compass Inn for refreshments and an apres. They do have a limited food menu but sometimes the queue is long. An alternative is to bring your own picnic. It would make sense to car share where possible as there is limited parking and would save on fuel and parking fees. This will count as a session or cost £4.00.
