Kayak Trip to Old Harry's Rocks/Social walk on the Purbecks

Details

We will meet at Studland Watersports on Knoll Beach at 0740. We will then be issued with kayaks and safety kit. The idea is to paddle out to Old Harry as a flotilla with a safety boat. Land there, pose for photos and wander about the rock pools/swim - the snorkelling is excellent there if it is clear (tide permitting). Paddle back, get changed , have breakfast, then wander on a walk around local landmarks in the Purbecks (about 4 miles, before having a few beers and lunch in Old Harry Bar in Studland. The cost is £28 per head to be paid directly to Studland Watersports on the day. We are limited to 34 spaces. If we have more applicants than spaces, priority will be given to those who have attended at least 5 regular sessions this year

We can further reduce the parking costs at Knoll beach by using as many National Trust stickers or cards as possible, if you can get hold of one please bring it. If you can liaise with each other to car share if you live close together then that is easier yet.
PROVIDED we hire all the kayaks Studland Watersports provide, we can then use our own.
Teamwork and Safety
In the interests of safety I will allocate people to pair up on the boats to make sure we have a fit experienced paddler with each inexperienced individual so everybody has fun, makes new friends, and enjoys the trip. This may mean couples may be split up but will generate more camaraderie in the spirit and ethos of our boot camp community.
The kayaks are 12 x 2 man sit-on types, and 10 single sit ons no experience necessary and all kit provided (wet suits, safety gear etc) Cost is £28.00 including breakfast.
Clothing/Equipment
Swimsuit/trunks Tshirt or sports top optional. (You will get warm as soon as you start paddling)

Waterproof bag for mobile phone if you want to take it on the water or give it to the instructor
