7 Miles Stunning Coastal Walk Golden Cap (Near Bridport)

Details

We will do a circuitous route from the Public car Park in Seatown. We will follow the South West Coastal Path Over Golden Cap (the highest point on the entire South Coast) to Stonebarrow Hill where we can get a coffee/cream tea (highly rated by Cindy), and return via an inland route, taking in two Dorset Holloways. Once back at the car park, we can picnic/have a dip on the beach, and/or take refreshments in the adjacent pub dependent on the weather. (They do pizzas from £11.00) It will not be an amble but it will also not be a speed march. The distance is 7.2 miles with some steep descents and ascents so a reasonable level of fitness is required, we will expect everyone to keep up and stay together. Because of the steep and sometimes narrow paths we will restrict this event to humans only as dogs can be an additional trip hazard. Dress for the weather, with comfortable sturdy footwear, and take drinks and snacks and swimwear if desired. It would make sense to car share where possible as it is £8.00 per car and would save on fuel costs. This will count as a session for those who have block booked sessions or cost £4.00.
