8.5 Miles Stunning Coastal Walk Portland Dorset

We will meet in the hotel cafe for a coffee before leaving to do a circuitous route from the Heights Hotel Car Park. The views are dramatic and absolutely breathtaking. We will traverse through disused quarries, WW2 defensive positions, and a sculptors paradise. It will not be an amble but it will also not be a speed march. The distance is 8.5 miles with some steep descents and ascents so a reasonable level of fitness is required, we will expect everyone to keep up and stay together. Dress for the weather, with comfortable sturdy footwear, and take drinks and snacks and swimwear if desired. A dip could be possible at Portland Bill if sea conditions are safe. On completion we will repair to the cafe/bar for refreshments. It would make sense to car share where possible to save on fuel costs. This will count as a session for those who have block booked sessions or cost £4.00.
