Scenic walk from Sandbanks Ferry To Swanage Via Old Harry's Rock

We shall meet at the Haven Ferry Cafe at 0945 Sunday 5th April before taking the 1000 Ferry across to the Isle Of Purbeck. We will walk from Shell Bay along the beach to Middle Beach before taking the Bridleway to Old Harry's Rock. Then it will be up and over Ballard Down and into Swanage for possible refreshments from a local Hostelry or chip shop. We can then catch the Breezer Bus back to the ferry to reunite with our cars. The walk is just under 8 miles which we should do in under 3 hours with a coffee stop. It is not a speed march but we will not be ambling and we do expect everyone to keep up and stay together. Well behaved dogs are welcome. There is usually a place to park your car in the backstreets of Sandbanks. Stout trainers or walking boots are recommended. Dress for the weather, optimists take sunscreen and sunglasses. This will count as a session for regulars or cost £4.00 for newbies
