🌲 Purpose of the Walk. Our aim is to explore the SO42 7QL forest area and identify safe and efficient routes ahead of the autumn mushroom season.
📅 Looking Ahead Following a summer of extreme heat and drought, the arrival of rains may create ideal conditions for a return visit in September. The scouting we do today will lay the groundwork for a more productive and relaxed mushroom exploring in the future.
🗺️ Planned Route This walk is designed to refresh our spatial memory of the region. If our time and team are used efficiently, we may also have the chance to examine the southern forest section around SO42 7YQ. By moving together as a group, we’ll cover a broad area and improve our orientation for upcoming meetups.
🥪 Food & Drinks Suggestions Participants are encouraged to bring:
Around 1 litre of water
Snacks and hot/cold drinks of their choice We’ll take a short lunch break at around 12:00, during which everyone can enjoy what they’ve brought along.
🌦️ Weather Outlook According to meteorological data, Sunday will be mild, temperature approximately 23°C and calm conditions. A pleasant walking experience is expected.
