Try Tag Rugby is a friendly mixed sport that’s easy to pick up, great for meeting new people, and often becomes the social highlight of the week.
Whether you’re brand new to rugby or haven’t played sport in a while, you’ll fit right in. No experience needed, just come along for a fun and welcoming way to stay active and meet new people.
We run mixed (all genders) social Tag Rugby Leagues, Events, and Taster Sessions in Bournemouth throughout the year. It’s all about having fun, making friends, and enjoying a run around – followed by a drink and a chat at our partner pub (yes, every week!).
Why not come along and give it a go at one of our Free Taster Sessions? There’s no pressure, it’s just a fun introduction where we’ll talk you through everything.
If you can’t make a taster, no worries - you can sign up for a league or event, and we’ll show you how to play before your first game. It’s easy to pick up, and you’ll be part of the group in no time.

Tag Rugby is a minimal-contact, mixed-gender team sport that’s all about having fun, meeting new people and staying active. It’s easy to learn and we’ll show you everything you need to know on the day.
Tag Rugby is new to Bournemouth, but it’s already one of the UK’s fastest growing social sports, with over 11,000 people playing weekly last summer.
Whether you're sporty or not, super fit or just getting started – everyone’s welcome. Lots of people come along on their own, so don’t worry if you don’t know anyone yet.
Meyrick Park is easily accessible and is just a short walk from Bournemouth Town Centre.
What to expect:
- A fun introduction to Tag Rugby
- Mixed teams and friendly games
- A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere
- The chance to meet new people in Bournemouth
