What we’re about
Welcome, board game fans! Anyone who enjoys tabletop games or role-playing games should feel welcome to join this group. There are no dues or fees.
Beginning in January 2023, we're going to hold monthly meetings at the Bowie Branch Library to play board games. We'll also have additional meetings from time to time.
If you'd like to host a gaming event or want to start an RPG group, please message an organizer; we're happy to create a Meetup event for you so that attendees can sign up.

If a community member engages in harassing behavior, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the group. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact an organizer immediately.

Board Game Fun & Learn Ticket to Ride at the Bowie Library
Bowie Branch Library, PGCMLS, 15210 Annapolis Rd, Bowie, MD, USJoin us for board games at the Bowie library.
This week Susan will be teaching Ticket to Ride, a 2-5 player game where you'll be collecting train cards in order to build railways across North America. With over 18 million copies sold, Ticket to Ride is one of the most popular board games in the world. Its accessible rules and game length (~45 minutes) make it an amazing "gateway" game for players who are new to the hobby, but there's enough strategy and tension for experienced players to enjoy as well.
If you're already well-acquainted with the original Ticket to Ride, we'll also have a copy of Ticket to Ride: Europe. TtR:E features a new map and adds tunnels, ferries, and stations to the original game mechanics.
Alternatively, you're welcome to play one of our other games or bring some of your own. If there's something specific you're hoping to play, please mention it in your RSVP or leave a comment.
This is a recurring event, held on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
