Dutch Oven Gathering (DOG)

First ever Bowling Green Outdoor Dutch Oven Gathering (DOG)

A DOG is intended to show off your Dutch Oven cooking skills and learn new ones. It is not a potluck. All dishes are prepared on site.

So bring your own DO, charcoal, recipes, and tools of the trade. Arrive in time to start your coals, prep and cook your dish for a shared sit-down meal at 4:00 p.m. central time.

Event will be held at an open air picnic shelter with concrete picnic tables. There is a fireplace/hearth. A water spigot is nearby.

There will be a secret ballot for the following categories: Best meat dish, Best vegetarian dish, Best side dish, and Best dessert. Feel free to prepare a recipe in one or more categories - depending on how many DOs you have!

New to DO cooking? Don't worry, just bring your supplies and we'll give you some tips. You'll be cooking like a pro in no time!

Plates and eating utensils will be supplied. Please bring your own non-alcoholic drinks.
