Options for a 2-mile, 4-mile or 8-9 mile hike. Easy to moderate.

Got the Election Day Blues? Don't sit home and watch the news. Join us for a morning hike on the Brier Creek Trail in Nolin Lake State Park - this will be my first time on the trail since it reopened after last year's floods.

Don't know if the route has changed any but should be close to pre-flood. Waterfall Loop (maybe a trickle this time of year) and Omega Loop are approximately two miles each. You can choose to do one or both of those loops and return to the trailhead. If you opt to hike on, you'll travel another 1.8 miles along the Lakeshore Bluff (where you can hear a hidden waterfall within the bluff during wet seasons) and 2 miles on the Point Loop.

No political discussion please - but you're encouraged to exercise your right to vote before you come!

Bring water, lunch, and snacks.
Your well-behaved dog on a leash is welcome.
There are restrooms at the Nolin Lake State Park office.

This mountain bike trail is designed and maintained by the Southwest Kentucky Mountain Bike Association. For a map and more info go to kymba.org/bowlinggreen/kentucky-trails/nolin-river-lake-brier-creek

Nolin Lake State Park is approximately an hour from Bowling Green. Brier Creek Trail System | Ky Parks

Yield the right of way to bikers.

RSVP with integrity. If you RSVP'D "Yes" and discover you cannot go, please change your RSVP to "No" so others aren't standing around the parking waiting on you.
