Distributed Stream Processing with Apache Kafka: Process Absurd Amounts of Data

Hosted By
Shawn R.

Details
Apache Kafka is a distributed streaming platform with the capability to process, store and publish record streams. Originally developed at LinkedIn in 2011, Kafka allows you to build scalable distributed applications by streaming real-time data to many consumers at once.
Our own Adam Gamble will cover the basics of stream processing with Apache Kafka.
He will show why you might want to architect your applications around distributed streams and show a proof of concept application that consumes live production data in real time.
We hope to see you on the 29th!
